Krista Boling was promoted to Vice President of Promotions, Client Services, Retail & Special Event Operations in 2014. She is responsible for promoting Studio Operations departments via sponsorships with film festivals, award shows and participation with various industry organizations. In addition Boling oversees the Special Events department that provides on lot special event production to both internal and external clientele. As Vice President of Client Services, Boling ensures quality customer service to the Studio Operations departments customers by conducting client surveys, coordinating and designing acknowledgment gifts and promotional inventory. Her other responsibilities consist of monitoring press and publicity activity on the lot. Boling reports to Jeanne Cordova, Senior Vice President of Marketing, PR and Special Events.
Boling joined NBCUniversal in 2003 as a Marketing Representative handling the promotional marketing for the Studio Operations divisions. In 2005 she was promoted to Manager of Promotions, Press and Customer Relations. In 2009 she was promoted to Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations. In 2012 she was promoted to Executive Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations.
Boling received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA in 2002. She was the captain of the UCLA Women’s soccer team, leading the team to the NCAA Championship in 1999.
Samantha Frumenti was promoted to Manager, Events & Promotional Production in 2021. She is responsible for planning and executing both internal and external events on the lot, while assisting with various marketing projects and promo shoots.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, she was an intern for the NBC Entertainment Publicity department.
Samantha received her Bachelor's degree in Communications and Business from the University of Arizona in May of 2017.
Courtney Mierez-Deak joined the team as the Special Events Manager in July 2022. She is responsible for planning and executing a variety of internal and external events on the Universal Studio Stages & Backlot. Along with years of event production experience, she brings years of hospitality event management experience to the special events team.
Courtney received her Bachelor of Science in Sports, Entertainment and Hospitality Management from CSUDH.
Kevin McCarty joined the team as the Special Events & Promotional Production Coordinator in August 2022. After studying Business Marketing at Cal State Northridge, Kevin began his career in television on the NBC show, The Voice.
He brings extensive knowledge and years of experience to the special events team, where he is responsible for planning and executing a variety of internal events and promotional shoots on the lot.
