Krista Boling was promoted to Vice President of Promotions, Client Services, Retail & Special Event Operations in 2014. She is responsible for promoting Studio Operations departments via sponsorships with film festivals, award shows and participation with various industry organizations. In addition Boling oversees the Special Events department that provides on lot special event production to both internal and external clientele. As Vice President of Client Services, Boling ensures quality customer service to the Studio Operations departments customers by conducting client surveys, coordinating and designing acknowledgment gifts and promotional inventory. Her other responsibilities consist of monitoring press and publicity activity on the lot. Boling reports to Jeanne Cordova, Senior Vice President of Marketing, PR and Special Events.
Boling joined NBCUniversal in 2003 as a Marketing Representative handling the promotional marketing for the Studio Operations divisions. In 2005 she was promoted to Manager of Promotions, Press and Customer Relations. In 2009 she was promoted to Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations. In 2012 she was promoted to Executive Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations.
Boling received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA in 2002. She was the captain of the UCLA Women’s soccer team, leading the team to the NCAA Championship in 1999.
Mandy Philp joined NBCUniversal in December of 2008 as Special Events Manager and was promoted to Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and Publicity Event Production in 2011. Now as Director of Digital Marketing and Publicity Event Production, she is responsible for maintaining the Universal Studios Lot website in addition to overseeing digital marketing efforts including social media for all departments. Philp is also responsible for planning all events taking place on the lot that promote Universal Studios content including press junkets and publicity shoots.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Philp was the West Coast Events Manager for Architectural Digest as well as an Advertising Associate at Esquire Magazine.
Philp received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Washington State University in 1999.
Jennifer Dunn joined NBCUniversal in April 2011 and was hired on as Manager, Special Events to provide special event production to both internal and external clientele. She is responsible for organizing, planning and executing internal and third party events from inception to completion, as well as, acts as a liaison between all Universal departments, the client and vendors.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, she was Director of Catering and Special Events at Aloft Dallas Downtown Hotel, part of Starwood Resorts and Hotels.
Dunn received her Bachelor of Arts in Italian Area Studies and Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in 2007.
Danielle Romo joined NBCUniversal in 2015 as the Marketing & Special Events Coordinator and was promoted to Special Events Manager in 2016. She is responsible for managing special events, social media, marketing, and other promotional efforts on the Universal Studios Lot. Romo reports to Mandy Philp, Director of Digital Marketing and Publicity Event Production.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Danielle was the lead guest producer for iHeartMedia’s #1 radio show - “On Air With Ryan Seacrest."
Danielle received her Bachelors degree in Business from Loyola Marymount University in 2012.
Sophie Hertz joined NBCUniversal in August 2016 as a Special Events and Marketing Coordinator. She helps plan both internal and external events on the lot as well as assists with the Special Event social media account.
Prior to joining the special events team, Sophie interned for the E! and Esquire Networks, HBO and SBE Entertainment.
Hertz received Cum Laude in her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Business from UC San Diego in 2016.
